I've never thought of this one before. I just read advise from a person who removes his engine start relay from his engine compartment when he leaves his truck in a bad place for an extended period of time. I'm not sure about removing the whole relay but pulling the fuse would be a good idea.
I've considered wiring a button or switch inline with the starter relay and just mounting it in an inconspicuous spot inside the cab somewhere. I never would put an annoying alarm on my truck. There are other cheaper ways to keep your rig from being "borrowed".
