Camshaft gear washer

Post by VegeKev »

Hey Benly People,

A couple of quick questions re the 37.5mm washer (part#90482-200-000) that supposedly goes between the camshaft and cam gear....supposedly because I don't appear to have one

Firstly....do all models have one?

Secondly, can someone tell me the thickness of said washer so I can make one?

Thirdly, is said washer hardened?

Thanks heaps....

Kev. :)

Not got one in the house but will have one in the shed but its behind a load of the guy downstairs stuff to heavy to lift on my own, we share the shed.
If chip don't find one, I'll pull one out of a motor I have outside.

I've probably got quite a few but they are all in the back of the shed I'm sharing, At least we know where to get the next one. hahaha

G'day Sam,
I'm getting used to being in it .... It's just the depth that varies ;)

Many thanks again

Just as a double check that I'm not going in the wrong direction, would someone be able to check these measurements against another camshaft gear for me....

Also, does anyone know what the idea of the spacer washer is? why would you need it?....seems that they could have machined the gear a bit shallower and you wouldn't need it....

Thanks,
Kev :)

It stops the cam moving from end to end, the outer cover buts up to it.
