I havn't had a chance to poke around the headlight on my CA95 so I am a bit in the dark in more then one way. Could one of these be used for the socket to graft onto an original sealed beam bulb to make it a replaceable?

Here is a link to the CA DMV form for reassignment of year of manufacture licence plates for vintage vehicles.

http://dmv.ca.gov/forms/reg/reg352.htm

It says it is for plates issued prior to 1963 but I suspect it might work for 1963 plates. I suppose I will find out for myself soon enough. One ...

[QUOTE=Jetblackchemist;6523]My guess would be Mr Honda in doing his research only toured European cycle plants, if we look at Europe, around that time...BSA, Triumph, and of course his favorite the MZ were all using 6 volt systems. I am sure MZ got it from the UK? or vice versa since MZ is the ...

Yeah, I know what you mean. For some reason I have my eye out for a 305 scrambler, but I wouldn't turn up my nose at a 305 dream for stupid cheap.

I need to sell one of my CT 90's before I get another bike, domestic tranquility stuff.

I'd love to blame my lack of progress on waiting for a gasket set and bottom end seals, but the truth is, between it being the end of the semester and the furniture commision I have going in my shop I am lucky to find a few minutes each day to do a bit polishing or parts cleaning. On the bright side ...

My dad rode for MZ in the 1968 six days trial and was very impressed with the enginering and performance of the bike, no small complement as he was riding a Norton p11 at the time. When the P11 came out nothing could touch it in the desert. I'm not sure how he finagled a ride for an east german ...

I think adding a regulator might be a smart thing to do regardless of which battery is run. What regulator would you suggest adding and do you have a wiring diagram for where you would add it in the system. I am pretty good at understanding a wiring diagram but I not so good at calculating loads and ...

Not sure it is a good idea to run a sealed battery in these bikes. Their electrical system lacks a voltage regulator, which means they can over charge the battery if run at max rpm with the high beams on. Over charging the battery builds up excessive heat and can cause the battery to boil over. With ...

I have a bench mounted motor with 6" sewn cloth buffing wheels. trippli will remove the coating and any pitting, I follow that with a light buffing with red rouge and then clean things up with acetone and a quick one over with simi chrome. It sounds really involved but it goes qicckly.

I just got ...

I just jumped into porting my head this past weekend. Not so much a porting job as much as a clean up of some really ugly casings lines. I posted some pics on my engine rebuild tread.

Another way to get the flywheel nut off if you have the motor out or at least have the chain off is to put it in gear and use a pry bar between the bolts that hold the drive sprocket on. it is actually easier than trying to keep the rear wheel from spinning.
