I believe this one is the one we have. I said a bank of 4 fully submerged and I meant bank of two haha. Looking to get one that will accept a full bank, and the next size up will take a full bank AND a basket of parts so I could get an entire four cylinder carb assembly done in one dip.

As far as certainly metals in ultrasonic the ONLY one I've come across that won't work is Magnesium. It'll pit the holy hell out of it for whatever reason. As for getting in to hard to reach places and get dirt out, it will do that too. If it's REALLY caked on though, you'll have to put it in for a ...

We purchased ours through Sharpertek. They looked the toughest, had the most features (an adjustable thermostat was a must, and shockingly most simply have on/off), and honestly were priced to move. We kind of lucked out because they were having a mega sale and we got a $2,000 cleaner with around ...

For future reference when removing the stock air filter and fitting an aftermarket unit, to anyone who may need it, the head breather and carburetor ventilators can both be run to open air, in a location that they will not get water in them if it rains, or debris in them. I.E. route them so that ...

I'm glad you have your master link back in, and I hope even more that the key link lock is on in the right direction.

Haha it is!

Also, here's the goopy gas tank

I get better prices on tires and tubes through my shop ;) Dennis Kirk's pricing is pretty competitive (only about $1.00 more than we pay for them), but I can still get them cheaper and I don't have to pay the tire fee (not exactly sure what a tire fee is) or a shipping charge. Probably going to do a ...

Took your advice Sam Green and found the domed head bolt.

Now for my headache today...

Thought the three holed washer went on the OUTSIDE of the cam gear. Timely mistake! Had to essentially back track through all the progress I made yesterday, take the flywheel and stator/starter gear assembly ...

If you use the rear wheel spindle as a puller, it comes off in less than 30 seconds. :D :D :D :D
Another thing to watch on re-assembly, looking from behind the motor, the head nut on the right of the row nearest you is a dome nut, the oil feed to the cam is under it.

Sam. :)

Is this the only one ...

Got that pesky timing chain in today! Not sure if the timing is spot on. I called it a "night" at 6:00PM (which is our normal closing time. This time of year things are slow in Kansas so I get to tinker!) I wont' know until tomorrow if I timed it right. I ran it through by hand, and the valves aren ...

$60?!?!?! I paid $800 for the one I use at my shop. You can't beat that for home use! Eight minutes seems a bit hokey though. I've found that most anything worth cleaning takes at the very least 30 minutes in our industrial machine. But some really nasty bits might take as much as 2 hours. We also ...

At my shop, we get the IRC NR-21s for these. It's not the correct size (3.00 x 16) but it's a good tire at a very good price (We get them for about $35 per tire). I'll probably end up using these on my own CA95. They're supposedly universals, and also come in a 3.5x16, which might look good out back ...

That is an EXCELLENT price! I would have jumped on it too for such a measly sum! Though I'm thinking the 900 gpz motor might call for some frame reinforcement and suspension/brake upgrades haha!

Yeah I like to say our shop motto is "No job too tough or bike too old." Most of the guys in town that can't do their own wrenching bring their vintage stuff to us. I honestly LOVE working on older stuff. We had a 1951 Cushman step through that came to us that had been to shops all over the place ...

In my area (Kansas) for a bike that's been siting for 17 years I'd say probably in the $200-$600 range depending on how it was stored. A general rule of thumb around here is that if it runs and drives, it's worth at least $800 no matter what it is. The 454 is kind of an odd duck in that it looks ...
