Default muff wraps?

so the the carb rebuild went well, thanks forum, i was wondering now about wrapping the mufflers? i've 'em seen on some bobbers. i like the look and mine work fine, they are just potted and have small spots of chromefallingoffitis. just wondering if anybody has any experience with wraps?

I have wrapped headers on race cars to help keep the heat in the exhaust so it exits out the engine compartment and keep the underhood temps down. They make it in black and skin color... probably white too I'm guessing. You just experiment with how wide you wants the wrap to overlap and then use little stainless clips to hold the end of it. I would spray it with Scotch Gaurd or some other repellant to keep it from getting moist.
