Powdercoating is the most trick thing in the book. It makes things look better than new and totally custom. It affordable and provides a super durable finish. Also when you take parts in to have them coated they sandblast them to make sure the finish adheres to the part as well as it should. I did a lot of black parts in gloss and semi-gloss and I did the manifolds and the valve covers in red. I just like the look of the Corvette engines so that is my inspiration. I also want to get a handful of allen bolts to sprinkle around the engine as well.

Yes I'm taking my sweet time indeed! This thing is going together perfectly. All the torque specs are being applied and assembly grease is being used as well. This 1uz is going to rip.

I'm relieved to have finished putting on the valve covers so now I don't have to worry about any contaminates or dust getting into the heads or camshaft area. Next I'll put on the timing belt and the other goodies that go along with that on the front of the engine.
