Good news - I like to learn of new projects. The VT700C should be a good platform for a project. How custom will you go?

So it's running right? These types of older bikes take a lot more work to get running than people think. You just have to assume all the seals are bad in the forks and the engine. Fuel pumps are always gummed up or dead and the brake salve and master cylinder seals could easily be too dry to work properly etc etc. new tires, seat and on and on and on. It can get painfully expensive but that's a great bike to work with. It has a slim profile and is lighter than the inline four bikes. Very neat. Only having two carbs is a plus!
