Benly is really running down the homestretch to running again under it's own power...and I'm to a point I've been putting off for a long time: setting the motor up. Valve lash, dwell and advance, timing chain tension, etc.

So. The actual valve adjustment uses a wrench at least two sizes smaller than anything I have...I have a 4mm wrench, but this thing is, like, 2 or 3 mm across.

Where the heck to you get a 2 mm box end wrench?

I use a pair of long nosed pliers...not very technical but it works

I was lucky, my Benly still had the original tool kit which included a tiny wrench for adjusting the valve lash. Does your bike still have all the original tools?

Some folks on this forum just use their fingers, since once the 9mm retainer nut is loosened, the adjuster turns easily.

You could actually fashion one of your own from some flat bar and a dremel tool.
Or you can look for metric "ignition" wrenches.
Or your fingers....
