You can do no wrong engaging a gentleman in Georgia, not too far, who will whip this old bike into a weekend warrior.

These old bikes will only gain value, as the saying goes, "they don't make them anymore". I helped a buddy sell a '73 Yamaha RD350 semi-complete barn find for $400 using that maxim ...

Ouch, I didn't check the cylinders or rings. When I got it running it ran death rich, as if pouring gas into the intake. The carb was cleaned and checked at least five times. Maybe a crack in the carb? Did you fit the Mikuni carb? I did split the cases to replace the kickstart pawl. Maybe the cam ...

Thanks to all here- Sold my CA95!

I finally sold my '65 CA95 that was nearly complete, less paint- thanks to all the help and rare parts needed from this forum. What a bunch of cool guys and girls. I was asking $800.00 and sold it for $700.00. That's what a nearly complete CA95 sells for in Jamestown, NC.
I work for Honda and will ...

No, just metal. It's cone shaped on the end. I've seen other carbs that didn't use the rubber tip on the needle. Is mine screwed? PO melted it off? Can't crank it tonite because it's raining cats and dogs.

Took the carb off and apart, found the float needle had a piece of junk on it. I polished the needle and seat with metal polish. Hopefully when I crank it tonite all will be well. My new tank from Smithers should arrive today, this weekend promises to be sealing, sanding and painting.

Here are pics I tried to clean up in photoshop and labled. It faces to the rear of the bike, or as we say at work- aft.
If the wife starts to use this term, aft, I'll naturally say no to the trap question. "Does my aft look big?" (change the subject).

Running crazy rich

Let's just start by saying I've rebuilt many a carb throughout the years. Careful not to lose parts, noting positions of odd parts and a good general reading of directions.
I cleaned and put back together the carb on my '65 CA95- maybe three months ago- noticing it had been apart before, boogered ...

The gentleman started and ran today with an improvised tank. Hoo, she ran ultra rich- sucked gas and smoked white gas fumes. Uneven throttle up, cylinders firing unevenly. Static timing set with an improvised 9V./LED from a Korean refrig. door (unhooked batt.). Will check when running well with an ...

Awesome bike! Hardly used- that makes it special, as you get to break it in and use it as it was intended. There must be at least 5-10% of new bikes that the owners lost interest and keep in the garage till something happens to have to remove it. I need to get out more and meet people at bike shops ...

Just about the coolest old Honda I've seen here. Super shape. Were it me, but of course it's not mine, I'd keep it stock. Racing it is a different matter. Sam Green will hook you up correctly. A good man. Best of luck.

Wow, bunch of pinholes in tank

Lord have mercy- Got my POR15 kit, as mentioned here, used the Marine Clean and found probably 50 pinholes beneath rust bubbles on the paint on the gas tank. I'd repaired a few on the underside of the tank that revealed themselves with JB Weld.
Got my trusty O-ring pick and scratched the rust ...

Spokes, I'm going to try that beefing the compression.
Looking on eBay for a tank is like getting what I've got or spending more than I paid for the bike. Thinking it over, patch the pinholes with JB Weld, then Cream the tank and paint the bottom. I like the patina of the scratched original paint ...
