There is no doubt that this is one of the best upgrades I have done to this little Honda 70 so far. The clutch was a little hard to pull and the cable looked SO bad I couldn't live with myself. You CAN find old original silver ones but you can also go to your local Honda dealer and buy a modern one right from Honda for $20! (I'll be picking up a front brake cable soon after feeling how new this cable pulls.

I don't think I even had to use any tools to replace this thing...

Check out the rust that was falling out of this thing when I removed it. I didn't even try to shake any out on purpose.

What a difference this 5 minute job made.

The old bike is looking and feeling like new now.

It makes me laugh how easy the clutch operates now. It literally feels like a brand new motorcycle clutch. And for $20? No reason not to swap in a new cable in on your bike. I think they said a new front brake cable was $30. The reason for the increase in cost is the actuator for the brake light to come on when you hit the lever.
