In the early 90's I always dreamed of having an Aprilia Mille but of course I was younger and they were much more expensive. So I settled on a TL1000R and what a motor it had. The bike itself was fast because of the engine but the suspension didn't help much at all. The rotary dampener was just so stiff and I couldn't get it to track well at all. The shock linkage just wouldn't let the rear wheel stick to the ground very well. So instead of putting tons of money into the suspension I just cruised around on it and sold it when I got a good offer. I have ridden them with tuned Power Commanders and they really have good power with a set of pipes. But mine was stock and I just couldn't see spending a ton of money on it and still not being as fast as a stock R1. The bike had character like none other though!

Here are a couple other pictures of a TLR that I was able to borrow for a while. ;) This TLR was modded quite a bit and had a custom paint job on the whole thing. I really likes this brighter yellow a lot and the Yoshi pipes sounded soooo nice. This bike had a lot of bark!

Another pic I found. The rear end of that bike was pretty amazing.
