Ok everyone this is one of the nicest R1's I've seen for sale. The owner of this bike passed away and this is one of the bikes from his huge collection. This bike is in perfect shape and was never used as it was just prepped for the track and never ridden past that point. It was never on the track at all and only has 1,200 mi on the odometer. This bike has everything I could even possibly think of putting on it in terms of performance add-ons. The engine wasn't opened up or modified besides the addition of the Power Commander and Quick Shift unit. A new battery was installed and the oil was also changed before start up as it sat for a few years until recently.
We had the local dealer recently install the factory recalled Yamaha TPS which was known to be an issue with this year.

I'm 99% sure this bike was dropped off at Kyle Racing in Sand City/Monterey for all the modifications and safety wiring. The clip ons are Kyle Racing as he sells and recommends every single one of these parts out of his shop. The owner had a HUGE collection with all the exotic bikes that represented the best bikes up until the time he passed. This collection is mostly sold already but there is still an original R7 left which can be bought. I'll be getting pictures of this bike soon.

I put a big batch of pictures online here: https://picasaweb.google.com/fourwheelforum/2005R1ForSale#
I just took this quick video yesterday of the bike warming up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6589pjNSQrI

Price lowered. $8,000 come and get it. http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/biglaugh.gif Bike hasn't been ridden one bit since it was listed for sale. The miles are unchanged. Come see for yourself!

My friend that owns it is more of a classic motorcycle guy and he's not interested in riding this speed machine around. He said he would lower the price to $8,000 as it's a shame to see it just sitting there and it's summer time. This bike is still sitting in my friends garage believe it or not. A couple people promised to come get it but they just couldn't get the money together I guess which is no big surprise. I'm sure the banks don't think streetbikes are good investments these days!
