Default The winners circle!

Bumped into a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago while out on the Benly. He told me I should enter the bike in a Town Fair bike show coming up that weekend because people would love to see it. He said he was bringing his BSA.

Anyway, I brought it and it got 1st place in the "Stock Bikes" class.

People at the first show told me to bring it to another show that was held yesterday because it was bigger. The bike got 2nd place in the "Japanese Bikes" class.

Both shows were a blast. Some great bikes and really great people. All the proceeds from the second show were being donated to War Veterans which was really great.

Thanks VegeKev.

It's not me that I am happy about. I'm too old and ugly to ever win an award.

It's the appreciation people had for the little Benly. Especially the second show where it was mostly a Harley show. Best in show went to a Harley Shovel Head. Best in paint, custom, rat bike etc all went to Harleys.

It was surprising how many of these Harley guys really checked out the Benly and took pics of it. A lot of the people remarked about either having owned one or a friend who had one or their dads owned one etc.

How can anyone not love a Benly?

I've had that experience a lot. I can't tell you how often I've had a state chapter President of a Harley motorcycle club come over and talk to me about my bike. A lot of them learned how to ride on a Benly and it brings back a lot of memories. I sometimes have issues with the Crotch Rocket guys because I'm too slow but the Harley guys are always cool.

That is an absolutely beautiful machine. Much prettier than mine.

It's nice to get awards for all your hard work and in your case, It's well deserved.

Sam.
