I'm not real sure what Eric meant , but he said they'd recieved a few tires .
Hopefully a few means enough to fill all the orders that they have . I got mine directly from Coker which means I paid a little more than Jeg's price .
Guess we'll see if they ship to Jeg's also . Good Luck !

Yeah we ordered those WW from Coker too and they assured me they'd get them in on June 29th. Anyone know if these tubes will work with the tires and the Benly wheels?

Those are a tad large. If I can remember right I have used 3.00 / 3.25 x 16's. They should only cost between 5 and 10 dollars. My motorcycle shop here said they had 3 more - so I just bought them all. People don't keep things in stock anymore so I have to keep up my own inventory!

Apparently ordering these Coker tires from JEGS was a mistake on my part.

I ordered them December 30, realizing that there were production issues and an existing backlog of orders. The original ship date has slipped at least 5 times, with the most recent target ship date from JEGS being June 1.

Yesterday, still tire-less, I checked the online status of my JEGS order. The status was simply "shipped" ... no date, no tracking information. So I called the customer service line. The woman was very friendly, and checked further. I was told that the ship date was June 18 (the previous day).

No tires have arrived, but today I received an email from JEGS listing a ship date of "mid July". Given the countless ship dates I've received since December 30, I have absolutely zero confidence that "mid July" means a darn thing. If the ship date is now "mid July", why does my online status say "shipped", and what was the June 18 ship date given to me on the phone all about? Argh. This is 174 days and counting.

So, these tires will now hold-up the reassembly of the bike. It's not the money ... I could order black wall tires and use them in the near term. I just don't feel like mounting/dismounting/remounting tires.

Nope, last I've heard I've been pushed back to "mid July". I sure hope that's 2012, but at this point, nothing would surprise me. They weren't able to give me a more definitive shipping date.

Just got this response below. [crosses fingers]

"Our estimated time of arrival is set for today. I have not heard from the
warehouse as to the arrival at this time. Once tires arrive they will be
received and then allocated to orders. You will receive a tracking number
shortly after from Fed Ex. If tires do not arrive as planned we will email
with new eta information. Thank you for your patience and have a great day.

Thank you"

Thumbs down

I find it interesting that I recieved a set of whitewall tires a month ago and no one else has recieved their tires . It was my understanding from Coker that they were having a quantity of tires made with the whitewalls to satisfy their orders . Watching this and several other forums I seem to be the only person to have recieved a set of tires . Very Strange !

One positive note, once we receive the new shipment of tires, they will be fresh out of the molds...not old off the shelf dates like tires I have received in the past. I always ask for tire dates not over 6 months old...not to worry this time!

Just had a Chat with a Coker agent. Richard says I should have gotten an update (which I didn't get of course) with a new date from Firestone of 7/14!?!?

Screw this. I'm going with the blackwalls. They're less than half as much anyway.

I just read this thread and have my own opinion on these Firestone W/W tires

I took the baby out this morning for ride about town and quickly remembered just what I liked & disliked about these tires

The good = they look good period! Pic's in my album

The bad for me = they handle horribly, they follow every rut in the road to me unsafe

I'm seriously contemplating switching the tires out to my other set of Kendas

Oh well just my 1 1/2 cents

Have a HondaFull Day

Thanks for the review wnbasac. Wish I had known that a week ago. Has anyone else had handling issues with these?

Here are the blackwall version of those tires on the bike. We don't have our tank or seat on yet so we haven't done a test run. Oh and those tubes I posted about seem to work but Smithers was right, they are a tad large.
