Almost finished! I tried to clean up the muffler, but it was just so dirty. I found a little muffler on ebay for 70cc-125cc motorcycles and got it. It looks like it matches up great. I will put it on tonight and try to get it running. I need all new turn signals, tail light and horn, but at least the headlight turned on! I ordered a spacer for the back weel, I have a washer on it now, but I dont see how there is enough room. My tire is rubbing aginst the right side of the fender, the spacer will only push it further that way.

I guess the swing arm will open up more if the spacer is installed.

what happened did you loose the spacer?? just so you know the front wheel only uses one spacer.. i would not try too ride it with that washer its not going to work out, the spacers hold the bearing into the hub, you may break the hub, or mess up your paint on the swing arm..

If you look at this closely, it appears that the collar #9 is on the inside of the hub, and there is no spacer or collar between the sproket and swing arm. I have all those i think. I just dont have one between the sproket and swingarm.

yes #9 slips in the seal agents the bearing.. that is the only one..

when you trued up the rim you may have pulled it up tight to the one side & that's why the rim is off center..

well I used a stationary bike stand and spent a couple hours and they are straight. Now my next project is trying to clean up the splines on the kick shaft. They are worn down and i dont plan on tearing the engine down again to replace it. I guess I could drill a hole and place another small bolt down the center?

I accidentally posted pictures on your thread, anyway this is the final product. It took about 4 months but it rides nice and all the electrical works well. It should, it's new. I really appreciate all the help and advice becuase this was the first time i have attempted working on a motorcycle.

Well i spoke to soon. After i got all the lights installed and working i started it up today and it was not running very well. it was backfiringand running kind of rough. I checked all the wiring and cleaned the sparkplug up and changed the gas, but still backfiring. I am wondering if it could be the timing. I had charged the battery after working on the lights because it had dropped a little and it just started backfiring. Could it be all the lights working now that it needs timing adjustment? any thoughts are VERY welcome.
Thanks

hi no.. try a new spark plug, you may want to shut off your fuel when you let it sit, or turn off the fuel & run it out of gas..

Put a new spark plug in, and the points needed adjustment as well. It starts and runs just fine now.
