Yeah that's a pain in the butt to ID the model year. It's doable. You can start out by Googling the subject matter. There are lists that show you what model year your serial number says it is. I think it's in the original manual somewhere maybe... not sure. If I can dig up the info somewhere I'll post it.

The CA95 was never designated a "Dream" technically. But it is basically if you consider the stamped steel frame and other characteristics of the motorcycle. They don't start calling these bikes Dreams until they reach the 250cc displacement. I get people who ask me if mine is a Honda Dream I just say yes. Only nitpickers or collectors will correct you in saying that your little Honda is just a CA95 or CA160 (the one I ride around town) - and NOT a dream.

According to the second link:

Benly serial numbers through the years:
1959= C(A)92 or 95-9XXXXX
1960= C92 or 95-0XXXXX
1961= C92 or 95-1XXXXX
1962= C92 or 95-2XXXXX
1963= C92 or 95-3XXXXX
Early 1963 marked the changeover from the flat-sided mufflers and also brought in the new redesigned fuel tank, kneepads and tank side panels.
1964 CA95 CA95-4XXXXX
1965 CA95 CA95-5XXXXX

I don't know whether this is true or not. I pegged mine as a 65 primarily because of the serial number and the late model options. Can't prove it, but thats what my title says now : p
