Default pieces

Ok so here's the problem. Finally getting the bike back together after a long restoration process and am starting to run into problems. You guys have been great throughout this process and I'm hoping you can give me a clue. I attached a picture of a small bolt with a spring around it and I'm not sure where it goes. Amy ideas.

That looks like the headlight beam adjustment bolt..

That is the headlight adjustment screw and spring. The screw fits the hole at the base of the headlight rim. The spring fits between the headlamp tab and the inside of headlight rim. You should have a square nut that fits the back of the headlight tab that the screw ties into.
