Default Pics of my bike finished

well almost finished, are they ever really finished . the rear blinkers still need some work. If you look closely on the front of the bike where the plug is on the fork I put some led blinkers for the front. for the rear I was going to use leds but they just not bright enough. new ones of the same style are on order. still cant find a chain cover for a reasonable price.

Non stock parts - exhaust (Thailand) , straight handlebars, clutch and brake lever (triumph style), handlebar switches (ebay), took the covers off the shocks lightly polished them and clear coated, and finally the blinkers.

Sweet, you did a great job and your right are they ever done?

I noticed you had a toe/heel shifter on the bike, I've been searching for that item for some 2 years without any success

to tell you the truth I really dont like the heal toe shifter. I would rather have a normal one. I bought it on ebay a year ago when I was collecting parts for the bike. It is not a honda part but another thailand special. you can have it if I find a regular shifter.

The frame looks to be off the earlier model but with a later motor and tank.
It does look good though and no one will notice when you're doing 180mph.
Were the after market pipes/mufflers a good fit?

I like how the straight handlebars lend a sporty look.

Careful with that 180 MPH, though - I've heard that these bikes will shimmy over 120 MPH.

Looks nice, enjoy the ride.

How can you tell it is an earlier frame? The title is confusing at some point it was titled as a SPCN (Special construction) with a year model of 00. I have not registered it yet since I just got it running, will see what the DMV has in store for the guantlet they are gonna have me run to get the bike legal. So I dont really know what year it is but I am sure one of you guys can tell by the engine/frame numbers.

Here are the numbers:

VIN: CA953108618

Engine Number: CA95E4011915

Ride position is a little funky. Since I am leaning forward and my butt is sitting further back I am sitting on the metal bridge on the seat instead of the spring area. not the best but the asthetics trumps comfort.

The pipes took some finess to get fitted. The header pipes where hard to get fitted but I didnt have to bend them. The muffler tabs where way off but those were no big deal to shape. The chrome on the pipes isnt the best but decent.

Sam or Spokes might be able to confirm, but it seems like the frame is a '63 and the engine case is a '64. No matter really.

Aesthetics trumps comfort? But it's a Benly Touring 150, and you're supposed to do touring with this motorbike.

Oh that's interesting, as I'm wondering how the straight bars will work from a seating position of my solo seat...

I was originally gonna go with a solo seat (may still). to mount it I planned on welding an extention on to the aftermarket solo seat mount, to bring the seat further back. I am 6 feet tall and for it to be comfortable for me, I would be sitting just before the top of the shock mounts. with the straight bars you need to kinda sit back further otherwise it would look kind of funny. I settled on the stock seat since it makes the bike taller and I can easily change ride position as i gas the bike up, hunker down real low, wind out the engine and hit 180 mph....lol

scott12544: ByTheLake is correct...the Vin 5th character is a 3...meaning made in '63. Could be the frame did not connect with the engine until 64? Or engine was replaced somewhere down the line. I believe a '63 engine had the tach drive on the right side of the head...as mine does. Did you do the paint job? Beautiful!

This Bike is beautiful, I know you've probably answered these questions before but, is it powder coated or painted? and where did you get those pipes? And, how do they sound?
