I have a wiring diagram in the manual I can scan for you. I used it for my 72', if that will help.

I may have a spare exhaust. Do you need the muffler, and the assmbly that attaches to the head?

Will has been trying to contact someone for me but if that doesn't work then sure! I need the whole thing. I have the guards though.

As for a key switch how about this?:

Looks a lot like mine. Check it out first to make sure it fits though.

Hey glad to see you join Will. I gotta read all your posts when I get time later on today. Have you ever ridden one of these before? A friend of mine has been running a Lifan engine in his little race bike for a while now and beats the heck out of it. If I had a chassis that needed an engine I would try one of those Chinese engines. I've been hearing good things about them. But there's nothing wrong with keeping it all Honda.

I just think about the long run and your time getting a working 70 engine plus the cost of all the parts and some machine work will easily add up to a brand new Lifan engine that has more power. Just something to think about. But sounds like you have most of the parts already so on with the show!

i never got to ride a cl70 before, i never even seen one in till i found this cl70 it had no motor when i first seen it, then the guy told me it came with a 70cc 4 speed manual clutch motor, so i had to have it,

but i built & put 4 speed 110cc auto clutch motor on a 1974 xl70, the motor i used started out as a Chinese 50cc 4 speed so i split & cleaned the cases & put a 110 crank & top end on it, head & cam & larger carb, the only money i have in it is the gaskets, it wheelies on its own with an auto clutch, just put in first & hit the gas & hold on, & hit second & it gets a little wheel also, fun bike..

i am looking for a good used stock exhaust for this xl70 or sl70 will work..

Ah I see! Well you know all about those engines then. That would be awesome to have in the CL70 since it is street legal. THat would be the perfect amount of grunt for that bike on the street while keeping it looking like a Honda.

I think mine looked about the same, maybe worse. I would give it a shot. : ) It dosn't look all that bad, plus there is allot of good parts. How is the engine looking? I see that thing under where the seat goes, never new about that. Guess I need to buy another part. Damn!
