Very nice indeed! Are those original tank badges or repos? If repos where did you find them?

Spokes , we took the bike to a local car show Saturday in Massillon ,Ohio
(this is one of Ohio's top summer shows) . It's amazing to see the reaction of people to the little red bike .Everyone from gray beards like me on down to kids had questions about the bike as well as stories about the bikes they started with back in the day .
Heard from a friend of ours today that we won a peoples choice award, but we'd had headed homebefore the awards ceremony . Guess it will be sent to us.
The tank badges are original and the best of several sets that I have .I wet sanded and clear coated them

Congrats! The red bike is cool for sure. I am very proud for you. I hope to make the CA160 or the CA95 build equally cool. I have my set of stainless Buco hangers and Buco bags ready to be brought up to showman status.

I am going to be in Brunswick Ohio for a few days next month. I would love to squeeze in a visit.

It is such a pleasure to hear about your award.

Chip

Well after 8 months here's my birthday present to myself ! Yes it's my birthday today July 4th. The bike is essentially done . I have a few very small items I want to redo but I'll wait until this winter to take care of those things .
I'd like to thank the folks on this forum for their help and knowledge about these little bikes . I'd also like to thank Mike Pastore from Spike's Shine Shop in Canton , Ohio . He polished the various parts ( hubs , controls , rear fender struts , etc ) , also he has an excellent painter who has the patience to tackle these bikes .
The blue bike 's going to the pinstripers this week to have the fenders and tank striped in light blue to match my Road King .
We're getting the bikes ready to take to the AMA Vintage Fest at Mid Ohio raceway July 22nd. thru the 24th.

Looks super clean! Those colors look great. White walls are incredible. Happy late B-day and have fun at the show as well.

Hey all , we made it back home from the AMA Vintage motorcycle festival at Mid-Ohio . Wow is all I can say ! The heat and humidity made for a very long 3 days but the racing , swap meet and yes all those vintage bikes made it worthwhile . Oh yes , it also rained !
We did see some incredible bikes and were able to find some parts at the swap meet so I won't have to shop e-bay for a while .
We showed our bikes at the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle club area and were amazed at the many people that stopped to take pictures and compliment both bikes . Although I built the blue bike for myself it's gratifying that people were so interested in it as well as the red bike .
I did take it to my pin striper and we just couldn't do light blue stripes like my road king . She had striped my wifes Copper red Miata previously with a Lime Green so guess what . Lime Green it was ! We think it came out great and so did everyone that stopped and looked at the bikes .
I've attached a couple of pics .

Just an update ,we've taken the bikes to car and motorcycle shows the past 2 weekends . The blue bike took a first place in the motorcycle catagory at a Cambridge Ohio downtown show and this past Saturday we took 1st. and 2nd place at a vintage motorcycle show at Maize Valley Winery ,Hartville Ohio.
A 1946 Indian took a well earned best of show ,same owner since 1972 and he owns a 1966 Ca95 !! Our kind of guy !
Still amazed at the interest all 3 of our CA95's generate . People find it hard to believe that all 3 bikes are 1965 CA95 hondas because they look so different .

I can imagine that shows are an extra pat on the back for a restoration job well done. To you and spokes Congratulations on the victories!
