Wrist pin clips
Sure are fiddly things.
I got the top and bottom case sealed back up, put the pistons on the conrods and installed the wrist pins. Then I dropped the wrist pin clip down into the case. One beer later, I had the clip out, the case sealed back up, and now the motor is being held at an angle so that the clips will drop to ground (and roll under the car) rather than into the case. Any hints on how to get these b@st@rds in without destroying them, scoring the aluminum piston, or having them rocket across the garage, a la Jesusclips? |

Put clean cloth around the con rods to prevent the pins falling in.
Another tip is to not drink beer while building your motor. Sam. |

The beer came later. I cannot understand how in a motor that's, maybe, 8" top to bottom, that clip had a 10 second hang time, tinking all the way down to god knows where.

What comes out, must fall down, it's called gravity.
Block the hole and it won't get in there. Sam. |
