1975 Kawasaki H1 500 oil question
Hey guys, glad I found this forum.
Had a quick question. My father just recently bought a 1975 Kawasaki H1 500 and wanted to know the easiest way to make sure each cylinder is getting oil. Should I just slightly unscrew the oil feed line to one of the cylinders and make sure it drips while the engine is running? Thanks for you input all. |

I wouldn't be paranoid about if oil is getting to the cylinders. The BEST way to check is to look at the spark plugs and compare them. If one is a different shade of carbon I would wonder about the oil metering maybe if any of the plugs were really out of spec. In other words if the bike is smokin... it ain't broken. There are indepth discussions about this on other sites but I've seen my dad play with a dozen triples and the oil metering system was never a problem on any one of them. That's my experience.
