Congrats on your first ride. I'm still a few months away from that big event, so I'm a little jealous.
Just curious - why don't you think the cable could be a factor? Was the cable completely lubricated when the bike was recently worked on? It won't take much resistance in the cable to hang up the throttle.
Does your bike have the internal cable slide in the twist grip? If so, is the track and/or cable pull smooth and lubricated?
