part of the power difference is 2-stroke versus 4-stroke, the 2-strokes will always produce more hp for a given displacement. Cant beat twice as many power strokes per crank revolution.

yup. Thanks to some help from Spokes, I figured out that a previous owner had installed the wrong oil spinner unit. It was too long and had been rubbing.
Now onto my next issue, its back together...

Made a little progress today. The sparking was apparently caused by oil or dirt on the points spring. Cleaned with contact cleaner and that fixed it.
Next the points gap was set to about .022 so...

Looking for an oil seal for the kickstarter shaft on right side cases on my '64 CA-95. The part number listed in the fiche, 91203-200-000 is the wrong O.D., it calls out 28mm but the seal is 24mm. ...
