It may have been mentioned before, elsewhere, on why VIN numbers and years on titles don't match production numbers. Back in the Day, it would often take TWO years from the time the VIN was produced in either Japan or Europe/UK, to ship, warehouse, deliver to dealer and eventually be sold. Quite ...

Talked to a very nice fellow named "T.J", at Small Tire Store. He apologized for the tire being as old and crappy as it was. He said he will be sending me a replacement Kenda and that I'm to pitch the one I'm holding. The tire came in a bundle just this past May, according to their records. Will ...

I think this is some of the best info I have seen posted. I know everyone has wondered why the electric starter doesn't seem to want to work after sitting around for a while. I thought I may have a bad starter but it looks like I need to charge the battery more often. Thanks Norm
One other thing ...

Folks in the "Front Office" don't see the inventory. It's the ignorant folks in the warehouse and shipping or the supervisor that sends the junk on, just doing their job and nothing more. Don't expect a 19yr old warehouse worker to know what is what. This is why I mount all my own tires, on ...

Found what I needed to know by going back two years on topics in this forum. The old British bikes and a number of other types had positive(+) grounds and I was unsure as to what the '62 150 used. You'd think that one of the 16 views of this thread, since yesterday, would say something. Nope.

Keep in mind that the COIL fires the spark plugs and you need a good battery to fire the coil. Definately can't use the electric start with a weak battery, as it will draw most all the voltage, leaving little for the coil to fire plugs.

Received Sat(7/2)from Small Tire Store a 3.00-16 Cheng Shin tire. I could not believe what they sent me! Right size, but it was smashed flat as a pancake(no way a tube will go in), warped badly from having been at the bottom of a heavy stack(I presume) since it was made in MAY 1991! Over 20yrs old ...

Battery? Grounding?

Pulled a '62 CA95 from a farm auction and am starting on getting it cleaned up and running. This bike actually came with a title and original manual!
But...no where in the book does it tell me if the 6v system is positive or negative ground for the battery, which was not there, of course.
My ...
