I've never been a chopper fan, so it's not my favorite molestation of an old 305. I'm sure the Easy Rider fans would like this, though.

I wonder what it sounds like with those wild pipes?

Speaking from the Easy Rider Fan point of view...do what you wanna do with bikes. That's what I like about fussin with old cycles, anything goes and ya can't please em all.

At least it looks like it's finished. Nothing worse than seeing an aborted project bike!

Good point, and I agree. Seems there are more incomplete projects out there than completed ones.

You'd be surprised how many bikes I see that look like this or similar that come into Spikes shop . They haven't seen the light of day in 20/25 years and folks are wanting to get them running again and NO ," I don't want to change the look " ! Might be the next big thing !

wnbasac 09-10-2012 12:32 PM

i thought it was KOOL

the price is negotiable and he recently put new tires, new battery, new clutch plates and re wired the bike is good to go with title

im gonna check it out

There is surely enough in engine and wheels to make it worth the money. :D Bikes that were customized back then are cool too. Makes you think "what the heck was that guy thinking!" Kinda like anything with any Vetter influence. Ok I'm playing. The Wind Jammer was legit.

I'm gonna check it out this Thursday it's located about 30 miles away from me. He advertised it locally, I'll take more pics for sure and get a litte history about the bike

Smithers 09-12-2012 06:45 AM

I wanna hear the story!

ok i went to see the bike ( superhawk ) today. he told me that he bought it from the son of the builder who has passed. his dad started it in 1966 and did some kool stuff to the bike.

he welded the lever brackets to the handlebars smoothed them over and had the bars rechromed.

he made some extended forks for the front end and add highway foot pegs close to where the top of the engine bolts to the frame. put a tank from the sixties as well as the rear fender with period perfect paint job. he chromed the rear swingarms and made a crazy sissy bar not to mention the exhaust. i remember the chopper i had in high school 1965 it had pipes shooting up the side by my sissy bar ,aka easy rider.

the new owner replaced the clutch plates, battery and re-wired the bike it only needs the starter to be installed but kick starts great in REVERSE direction?. it has a clear title with current tags

interesting but i'm looking for a 750 chopper with an amen frame
