No doubt the bike is in great condition, especially if it's truly all original. Not many unmolested CA95s left in the world.

Still, $2550 seems a bit steep for a CA95 late edition. Will be interesting to see what it sells for.

I think the word unmolested means nothing changed or altered, YES?

It's got the early exhaust system on it, headers and mufflers to you lot over there. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

So, Sam, it may not be original exhaust? Nice catch, I didn't realize that the exhaust changed with the late model. Still an excellent exhaust system. I've never seen a red Benly that brightly colored - normally they've faded to orange,but the ad does say it was stored 40 years.

Hard to believe that this bike started at $250 and has had 29 bids (so far) to reach $2550. I really didn't think C95/CA95 models were fetching those numbers.

Real similar condition to my CA160 but with more miles than mine. Mine buffed up to look like that.-
As a 64 I think the early flat sided muffs are appropriate. I'd expect you'd see mixing of parts styles (flat muff vs roundies) as old parts were phased out and new ones phased in.
As far as I know the flat muffs were never used on the CA160.

That's exactly why I'm leaving the original tires on my CA160 ;)

Well, I would keep them, and put new ones on the bike. That way, if you ever did sell it, you could include the originals but have new tires on it. lol

Those old tires can't very grippy. Seems like they would be like riding tires made of wood.

I just got suggestion from a new contact regarding what thier shop does with vintage tires. Remove the tire,soak real good with Armorall or similar and seal into a plastic garbage bag. Essentially sunlight and I think ozone are the biggest degrading factor for old rubber. Both my Super Hawk and my Ca160 have original tires and my my 66 Black Bomber (more later)has one old Pirelli on it.

Good thinking guys! I believe Armor All drys out rubber though. Maybe the older generation of the substance was a lot better. But I don't touch the stuff these days. I'm going to start a thread on what does work good. It's been a hot topic between me and my car friends for the last couple years. I have some amazing stuff! More on this later.

My 160 tires are still in great shape... just a little worn. They handle well around turns and are very smooth over bumps. Probably because it's been inside in the dark for it's whole life. Two years ago when it was last registered I did 65mph wide open on the freeway with the stock rubber. >: ) And I had a big rig right on my a$$ not giving me an inch!! LOL. At least the speedo was telling me I was doing 65. The big rig was telling me different.

I want a Black Bomber :(. My dad has one up north. I wanted to go get one that was on Craigslist up in the Bay Area... $4300 in great running shape and with some upgrades to make it road worthy as in daily driver. It wasn't exactly in original form but it was in great condition. I would be riding that bike every day if I had the cash to go get it at the time. Very strong engines and I have an itch to tear apart the cantilever valve train and play around with an open 450 engine.

So it sold for $2550. I'm still a bit surprised about the price. Hopefully the buyer doesn't have a big shipping cost on top that price.

I need that buyer...

Just for kicks, keep an eye on this listing and see if it is relisted. There is a chance of a bogus buyer. I listed a nice 2001 Victory, got a great price...but the "buyer" claimed his ebay ID was stolen and the deal was void.

Yup happens all of the time (unfortunately). Amazing how much stuff doesn't sell on the Bay.

That or the "shill" got stuck with it....
