I can't help get excited about electric motorcycles. How fast does electronic technology advance? If you put a number estimate on it the rate of information capability at least triples every year. And that is the technology that we are exposed to. The government and it's contractors have even greater capabilities than we even know.

Now how about putting internal combustion technology against electronic technology? Electronic technology leaves the latter in the dust. Everyone should know by now from documentaries and other materials that we are kept in the stone age by big corporations that are making so much money from old fossil fuels. But I won't get into that subject.

Let's have a look at some electric motorcycles. Now keep in mind that these aren't some side project that a college kid made to run around in the campus for the local newspaper. These are fully raceable race motorcycles that are going to be beat on through turns and a couple jumps at over 100mph full throttle. I can't wait.

A warning: If you are interested in the electric technology or design technology this article (and the links within it) will consume a couple hours of your time! http://blog.wired.com/cars/2009/03/a-british-motor.html#more

A preview of the article: "Ensuring the bike has enough juice to finish the race will be the biggest challenge. The TTXGP will use the same winding 37.73-mile course as the famed Isle of Man TT race, where riders maintain an average speed of more than 120 mph and navigate more than 200 curves."

Also an electric dirt motocross race bike

Here is another competitor in the TTXGP race. It looks to be an older Suzuki GSXR chassis and running gear: http://blog.wired.com/cars/2009/01/an-electric-mot.html

Why reinvent the motorcycle chassis? You just have to focus on the drivetrain and you have an electric motorcycle. I think we will see more and more of these kits running around on the streets soon.

This has to be the most interesting electric motorcycles I've seen yet! It's called the Mission One Electric Superbike (http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/353/2498/Motorcycle-Article/Mission-One-Electric-Superbike-Revealed.aspx) and they got their name from their main office which is located on Mission Street in San Francisco, funny. And how about it's 150mph top speed and 150 mile range? Sounds good to me!

Read down further below the article to see all the comments. This electric sportbike is stirring it up!! Wow. There is a LOT of interest in bikes like these and I have to say that electric vehicles are here to stay, no doubt.
