View Full Version : Fresh Meat! 75 H1F Advice needed

Hey Guys,
New member TrickRick outta the 239, Ft Myers, FL. Recently rescued a 75 H1F from 18 years of inside storage, she's amazingly unmolested and needs much light TLC. She has cone air filters and aftermarket black expansion chamber pipes, all else is stock. The bozo I got her from claims that back in the day, he installed the filters and the pipes but neglected to jet up, toasted the middle piston, replaced it, and never fired the bike up after that.

Soooo, I need to know from the gurus what size jets I oughta screw in there, so I don't have a repeat performance! She currently has 95 mains and 25 slow jets, and the side screws were set at 1 1/4 turns out.

Also, she has a battery eliminator. Today I pulled the plugs and kicked her to check spark...#3 is the only one firing. Hmmmmm......

Any other pertinent advice would be most appreciated! Thanks!!!

Nice project to begin with... not in bad shape. I don't have experience jetting these bikes yet. The thing I would do is look around for some old magazines with triples in them for advice. I'm afraid we don't have any H1/H2 experts here on this forum yet. I have a TON of old tuning literature available to me that my friend wants me to put together on the computer to sell on the net as a download. If I get it together sometime I'll try and get you some more info on jetting.

I just got a frame for my new project which is good for inspiration to get this kind of information together. Jetting these bikes is a long trial of getting em to run right - and that always changes with what exhaust is being run and what elevation the bike is being run at etc. etc.
